Our Story
The Libby Hostel (formerly known as The Barn) has been a haven for hikers & adventurers in the heart of the White Mountains for more than 30 years. Benajmin and Lisa moved to this area to live and play in the mountains and now have assumed ownership and operation of the historic Libby House property. While our young family enjoys the main house, we continue to open the doors of the barn and offer the comfort of our wrap-around porch to travelers as a place to rest, resupply, and re-energize for the miles ahead. We are mountain people: a former thru hiker and guide in the Whites, and an avid mountain biker and backcountry skier. Our aim is to make an affordable space for our fellow outdoors folk to stay in the place we love. You are welcome here!
